Educational Arrangements
Our educational arrangements are ready-to-play brass band arrangements with composed solos (and chord changes for those ready to improvise), designed to help your band learn the foundations of the roles of the instruments in this traditional New Orleans brass band style.
Alongside the scores and parts for these arrangements, the accompanying Improv Lagniappe! for each song has lead sheets and improv scale options for each song, utilizing the same chord progression as the arrangement and reference recording, for C, Bb, Eb and Bass Clef instruments. (“Lagniappe” is a Louisiana Creole word we use in New Orleans that means “a little something extra,” and we hope this something extra helps you to dive further into improvisation!)
